Champagne Corks pop for another Makro order
Makro Labelling UK's penetration into the UK bottling industry has received a further boost with the latest order coming from Intercontinental Brands in Middlesbrough.
ICB have just placed an order for a Makro Mak-2 16-platform/3 self-adhesive station labeller that will be a multi-purpose machine able to label anything from Champagne style bottles through to beers and spirits at speeds up to 16,000 b.p.h.
Richard Portman, Managing Director of Makro Labelling UK said, "we are thrilled to receive an order from yet another new client in the UK. ICB have developed a reputation as a first-class contract packer and wanted a new labeller that offered them maximum flexibility as their clients’ portfolios of products continually grow. This Mak-2 labeller, due to be installed in late Spring, will have Universal Gripper type Starwheels and Makro Patented ‘Follower’ Optical orientation. It has the ability, when large size bottles need to be labelled, to increase the pitch by using every other platform. Currently the machine has been ordered to label several different bottle formats applying body, back and neck labels."
Richard continued, "With our ever-growing list of UK customers in all sectors of the Drinks industry, covering wines, spirits, ciders, beers, soft drinks and waters, we were able to show ICB the versatility of our machines and our ever-increasing installed base to give them the opportunity to discuss with their peer group our after sales and service performance at Makro UK. I believe this latest order is a combination of the best technology available supported by a great service team."
